Accounts Manager
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to lead our growth efforts across Scandinavian markets, with a primary focus on Sweden. This is a pivotal role in our market expansion strategy, where you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities with financial institutions, particularly banks.
You will be instrumental in establishing ALM Partners as a trusted partner in the region while building and nurturing a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
As a key member of our Stockholm-based team, you will leverage your industry expertise and network to open doors, cultivate relationships at senior levels, and position our comprehensive portfolio of consultancy and services to address the complex challenges facing financial institutions today
Sales & New Business Generation
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities with financial institutions across Scandinavian markets, with primary emphasis on Sweden
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects through networking, prospecting, and relationship building
- Lead discovery sales conversations that uncover client needs and position ALM Partners' solutions in the areas of data, risk, and regulatory reporting
- Develop and execute account strategies for target institutions, working toward long-term partnership opportunities
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain high-trust relationships with existing and prospective clients across the region
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales cycle, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction
- Support existing client relationships to identify growth opportunities and ensure continued relationship success
- Work closely with delivery and implementation teams to ensure smooth project initiation and completion
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Maintain deep understanding of the Scandinavian financial services landscape, including regulatory developments, market trends, and competitive dynamics
- Provide market feedback to inform product development and service offerings
- Represent ALM Partners at industry events, conferences, and networking forums across the region
- Contribute to regional growth strategy and market positioning
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with pre-sales, and delivery teams to develop compelling proposals and solutions
- Collaborate with the broader international team to share best practices and leverage teams strengths
- Participate in team planning and contribute to the development of the Stockholm office presence
Must have qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of proven success in B2B sales or business development within the financial services industry
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the banking sector and financial institutions' operational challenges
- Market Expertise: Demonstrated experience working within Scandinavian financial services markets, with established knowledge of the regional landscape
- Sales Approach: Consultative selling skills with the ability to understand complex client needs and position solutions effectively
- Languages: Fluency in both Swedish and English (written and spoken) is essential
- Relationship Building: Proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders in financial institutions
- Independence: Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
- Location: Based in Stockholm with ability to work primarily from the office while maintaining flexibility for client meetings and travel across Scandinavia
Nice-to-have qualifications
- Regulatory Awareness: Basic understanding of key regulatory frameworks affecting financial institutions (e.g., EBA regulation, Basel III)
- Existing network and relationships within the Scandinavian banking and financial services sector
- Previous experience in consulting, particularly in areas related to data management, risk, or regulatory compliance
- Prior experience with RegTech, FinTech, or similar technology-enabled solutions for financial institutions
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in enterprise environments
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira
- Additional Nordic languages (Norwegian, Danish, Finnish)
In this position, you would be one of the first hires in Sweden, helping to shape our growing presence in the market. Compensation will be based on your experience.
