What You’ll Do
You will join our Balance Sheet and Risk Management Analysis team. We offer you a trainee position where you will gain a front-row seat to learn about interest rate risk regulation and develop broadly in tasks related to banks’ risk management.

Our team is responsible for interest rate risk modeling for our clients’ banking operations, and we also carry out development projects related to balance sheet management, such as new reporting solutions and automation of reporting processes. We provide several solutions for our clients’ risk and capital management, ranging from net interest income forecasting models to hedge accounting and valuation of balance sheet products. Our solutions combine technical modeling capabilities with an understanding of banking business needs. For risk modeling, we use the FIS Balance Sheet Manager software.

Our team maintains and develops long-term client relationships and provides recommendations to support clients’ banking business decision-making and development. We closely monitor interest rate market movements and macroeconomic changes to support our clients, for example, in interest rate risk hedging measures and assessing their impacts.

You will join a young and motivated group where new ideas and development suggestions are warmly welcomed and acted upon. Our team consists of nine balance sheet and risk management experts in the financial sector, who have an active, analytical, and forward-looking approach to work. What We’re Looking For
- Genuine interest in continuous self-development and a desire to dive into banking risk management requirements
- Willingness to grow into a financial professional who understands both the business and technical aspects of banking operations
- Full fluency in English and Finnish


Nice to Have
- Previous experience in banking, finance, risk management, or IT roles
- Familiarity with banking regulations (e.g. Basel/IRRBB)
- Basic knowledge of database queries (SQL) or other technical skills
- Understanding Power BI solutions
- Clear and precise written communication skills
- Interest in developing and learning about interest rate risk modeling and interest rate markets
- Ability and willingness to work in client environments and projects, as well as in client responsibility roles
- Swedish skills

Duration of the trainee season lasts 9 months and during this time, trainees will embark in ALM Academy training course which lasts 9 weeks. During these 9 weeks trainees learn about risk and balance sheet management, regulatory reporting, technical reporting solutions, data warehouses, data management, ETL, cloud services and much more. The best part is that no matter what your position would be, you'll get to learn all of this.

After the Academy, trainees continue their trainee season with their own teams, learning and honing the skills which are required to perform to our standards. When sufficient skills are established, trainees are able to support their colleagues within customer cases, giving hands on experience and responsibility. Once the nine month period is completed, trainee season ends but learning continues together with the team to become specialist.

The 9 month program is paid, with a monthly compensation of 2850 EUR.
